S*P*I*R*I*T takes a multi-faceted approach to investigating a reported haunting. We do this by using both scientific methods and equipment to record activity and also intuitives to receive impressions to better understand the cause of the haunting. This way we can solve the cause of the haunting and help the spirits or energies move on. We guide the family giving them information and strategies to protect themselves, put their minds at ease and to clear the home of negative energies. The goal is to resolve the activity and put the family in charge of their home again. Most paranormal activity is not malevolent. It is merely misunderstood energy and/or entities. We are all intuitive to some degree and can learn to focus on the positive aspects of life rather than attracting negative energy by focusing on what we don't want. Focus on what you do want. Thoughts are things. Use your thoughts for good.

This is Marilene Isaacs and several others that went along for the ghost tour. Can you see a young girls face in the background? This was taken across the street from Lazy Daze Coffee House where the Irvington Ghost Tour starts.

Here is a photo my brother Gary took on a recent ghost walk with Al Hunter and The Irvington Ghost tours. Those of you that have been on the tour will recognize this spot. Those of you that have not been on the tour will have to walk the walk to see it in person.

150 Year old home and carriage house

Reports of voices, someone walking around the old servants quarters, sounds of footsteps on the stairs that match the number of stairs, and a vapor seen by several people at a Christmas party. One of the new owners also reported that while resting on a bed in the back room, he felt someone’s breath on his lips. Thinking it was his wife trying to kiss him, he opened his eyes to find no one in the room.
We found many spirits in the house. Some of these sprits were family members of one of the current owners. Others were Elizabeth the daughter of the first owner and Sam, Elizabeth’s fiancé, who hung himself from the widows’ peak after her death. We also found an 18-year-old kitchen servant who fell or was pushed down the servants’ stairs.You can see Elizabeths gravestone below.

The Mission of SPI*RIT

A. Investigate reports of paranormal activity and by using scientific methods, document and explain their causes as being effects of normal ordinary events.

B. In those cases where phenomena can't be explained by the usual causes, identify and document the energies responsible for the phenomena.

C. Provide relief for person or persons reporting the phenomena and, if possible, the energies responsible.

D. Educate the public about our activities through The Spirit Academy, Ghost Hunts, Public appearances, and various types of media.

E. Provide services to home and business owners to clear the effects of negative energies.

EVENTS and INVESTIGATIONS

The Spirit Academy. Spirit Academy will be held in the Irvington area of Indianapolis, IN. This will be a combined effort between Marilene Isaacs, The H.I.T. Team (Haunted/Historic Investigations and Tours) and S*P*I*R*I*T (Spirit Paranormal Investigation Research & Intervention Team). We will be teaching paranormal investigation. Each session will include classroom instruction and an investigation of the Irving Theater or other Irvington hot spots. The cost will be $25.00 advance sale and $30.00 the night of the class. The dates will be: February 10th, March 9th is a closed event, and April 13th

Spirit Paranormal and The Spiritualist Church of Indianapolis are joining together for a very special event. Please join us for the Drum Circle Investigation. While perticipants take part in the Drum Circle. Spirit Paranormal will set up equipment to try to capture evadence of spirit activity. A pre-jam session with instruction and games starts the evening with a full on drum circle for the remainder of the night.
We will drum and groove as S*P*I*R*I*T searches for the paranormal!
We will conclude the night with Drum Meditation & Spirit Greetings from church leaders. Absolutely no drumming experience necessary! Drums and rhythm tools will be available or bring you own! 100% of the $15 donation for this fund raising event goes to the Spiritualist Church of Indianapolis. Please note that participation in this event means that one has agreed to have ones image and voice recorded through photography, video or audio recording, and will become part of the S*P*I*R*I*T catalog of evidence and their property to distribute as they deem appropriate to their mission as investigators of paranormal phenomena. I talked with Stephanie Estep-Beaty, Program Director at Wayne County Historical Museum yesterday. It looks like we will be offering another Spirit Academy July 21, 2012. The money will go to benefit the Wayne County Historical Museum. We sold out two sessions last year. There were some great pertisapants that got some outstanding evidence. We brought home audio, video and photos from every part of the museum. We have not worked out all the details but we hope for it to be bigger and better next year. I was lucky enough to get the last ticket sold for your event at the Wayne Co Historical Museum. I was in the 1:00 group and I have to tell you I had a BLAST! Cheryl was our group leader and she did a great job! And it was great being able to have fun and help the Museum at the same time.
The only disappointment was that I couldn't come back for the evening session with Marilene. We had an All-Message service scheduled for that night at the Spiritualist Church I attend and I had promised them that I would be there. After attending the church message service I was doubly disappointed that I didn't get back to the evening event with Marilene! (Shhh-don't tell the other church members! LOL)
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know how enjoyable it was. I think we all just loved your team's energy and enthusiasm.

In June of 2009 my wife and I purchased our first home. It seemed an enchanting charming cheap good deal, of a home that sat vacant for nearly two years. Within the first night, we encountered our first disembodied voice of no joke Boooooo! It was a male voice that came directly from my left shoulder, and Diana too heard it while we were cleaning the empty home. Shortly after occurrences began to spread. We all heard voices footstep coming from the attic area, and the voices came most any place within the home after we moved in. By December of 2009, the disturbances increased with sightings of transparent objects to voices to orbs showing up on family get togethers. I then heard a radio interviews from a local station interviewing a Sandra XXXXX whom wrote a book called Ghost Rescues. She charged me two hundred dollars, and claimed to remove many spirits from removing a construction worker alcoholic whom died intoxicated. She claimed have seen a rip in the heavens just above our attic, and also claimed a path led to our attic from somewhere bringing in spirits like two sisters whom died together. She went on to claim many ghost’s had been removed, and including one that was from very ancient times centuries ago carrying an old staff wearing all black in the attic. All the activity increased due to what she was doing. She told me if anymore sprits came, she would have to charge me seventy five dollars a ghost. At this point, I was losing large amount of sleep. A few accounts I can recall, was seeing a hot air balloon float across the room along with once seeing a white rope glowing like a snake draping over to the side of the bed. Speaking of snakes, I had seen a black snake appear to the image of a t-shirt live free or die from the Revolutionary war I had hanging in closet. Transparent objects had been apparent, and my wife was startled to hear a wheel barrel rolling from one side of the attic to another. To where she in another instant, she had heard loud pounding from between our locked security door and front door. On Christmas Eve that year, my daughter saw an invisible child’s legs running down through the middle of our living room. A dark shadow spirit was being seen in forms of orbs shapes shadows mists etc. Usually when spotted, this dark spirit would race into the attic to hide. Our television would change channels on its own sometimes, and would turn off. We had our faucets turn on by them as well, and at least the spirits could have turned them off? We also did encounter knocking poking, and touching on various occasions. December of 2009 Sandra recommended me to a Shaman from New Jersey whom wanted fifteen thousand dollars to remove eight spirits from our home then sealing the house. I got some advice of burying garlic at all four corners of the home, and putting garlic on the window seals fresh once a week. I was introduced to sea salt, and even Dead Sea salt to place around the home. I did try this, and I had no luck. Between December and February 2010, I had contacted two other people whom dismissed our home as either nothing was here or it was all in my imagination or it was a spiritual thing that did not include ghosts. One happened to be a demonologist, and he was involved in the movie The Sixth Sense. The other came to our home, and his advice was that, since I was a child we had a haunting in our family home. I believe at least the midlife female later crossed over at his first visit. We were to help the ghosts feel at piece taking them back home by offering a token at the first moment they followed me home. Well, this advice of course never worked. I had no idea what to do? Another person tried to help the owner of a new age store but that did not help either. I tried to use a blessed cross from the holy land, and I tried to put notes out asking them (the ghosts) to leave by going to the nearest funeral home. A tried to smudge once, and put sea salt at all four corners of the bedroom from advice did not work. I tried prayer, and tried confronting the spirits but no luck. A few months passed, and I had given up. I was told I was from insane basically, to having an issue no one wanted to work with. I was told I knew it all, and did not follow the advice that was given me. One night very late I heard as if someone was speaking to me. I was told to go online, and after hours and hours searching for certain search terms for paranormal groups who could intervene to find some real help. I heard search this term Spirit Paranormal. At that moment I found SPIRIT, and I’ve tried that search since and it has never come up the same to find SPIRIT. In October I contacted Tim from SPIRIT Paranormal, and the rest is history. We are now getting peace quiet and learning to home my skills further to protect myself and family. See 10-9-2010 Investigation
